Good Morning! Tuesday, May 25th, 2021
I hope that today finds you surprised by subtle signs of synergy and sweetness!
Man, yesterday was a pretty awesome day! I got up early at Noelle’s house (Thank you, again, Noelle, for a beautiful time and a place to lay my head). And after saying goodbye and filling my cup with Coffee, I slipped out of there and headed back to the pacific coast highway to continue my trip down. The goal of yesterday’s trip was to get to Mom’s place in sun city west, so I was pretty focused on keeping the wheels moving. It was nice heading down the PCH with no other real traffic on it. The route took me through all of the little beach towns. Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, Capistrano beach, etc. I will want to come back and spend a couple of days on the beaches, just chilling and hanging out.
I had a great chat with my sister Sue for an hour or so as I made my way through Dana point, which was super nice.
Eventually, Highway one becomes co-mingled with I-5, so I found myself on I-5 as I passed through San Diego. I took the last US Exit on I-5 Before Mexico and headed east towards mom.
The drive out to mom was uneventful and pretty quick. Folks don’t mind going fast out here at all. I went a little bit out of my way to go to Imperial, AZ, filled up the gas tank, and grabbed some yummy lunch at Nana’s kitchen.
I arrived at Mom’s house at 5:00 pm straight up, and my car is sitting in the garage now, with 130,001 miles on the odometer. 🙂
Mom and I had a nice chat and caught up on some things. Mom made spaghetti with a mushroom sauce (just like when I was a kid). And some garlic bread and a super yummy salad for dinner.
Not sure exactly what we are going to do today beyond hanging out.
Love ya!
Dan W
