Day 30 – Jerome to Sedona.

Good morning! Wednesday June 2nd, 2021

I hope that today finds you happy and healthy we reached z yesterday and I don’t know if the new theme is going to be.

Yesterday was a peasant day. Work up before the sunrise to move my car and get a time lapse of the sunrise. The. I headed back down through Jerome and into clarksdale for some breakfast.

After breakfast I headed towards Sedona. I stopped to get gas in cottonwood, and discovered that I had forgotten my credit card at the breakfast place. So I drove back there, and since I was most the way back to Jerome. Decided to go check out the Jerome state historical park and the headstock. And get the history of the mining that took place in the area. I really enjoyed that.

From there, I rolled out and checked out the copper art museum (thank you sister Sue for the recommendation…. It did not disappoint).

By this point it was getting on towards lunch time so I found a little Mexican place to grab a yummy chimichanga.

After that I headed over to montezumas castle and checked that out and then headed into Sedona.

I stopped at the bell rock and did a little hike there. Then it was time to find a place to sleep for the evening. So I headed out a forest service road and found a place to park for the evening.

I spent a little bit of time figuring out what I wanted to do today. Chatted with Catherine and Alex. And then slept like a rock. My car is actually pretty easy to sleep in.

This morning o got up early and headed to the bear mountain trail head and am writing to you from the top of bear mountain.

This has been a big hike! 2,500 feet of elevation in 2.5 miles. Taking 3 hours so far.

Now it’s fine to get down!

After I get done here. I am going to go find a place for some lunch. And then head up to the Grand Canyon and do a hike there as well.

Love ya!
