Day 37 – Garland UT – Grand Tetons

Good morning! I hope today finds you healthy and happy!

Yesterday I said my good byes to Aunt Linda, Uncle Dan and my cousin Cindy. But I took woth me some of uncle Dan’s excellent bagels , a jar of Aunt Linda’s pickled beets, and the recipe for the same.

On the way out of town, I stopped in to see my Aunt Sandi, and had a very pleasant visit with her as well.

I then headed down towards Brigham city and got back on highway 89 heading north through the cache valley and Logan canyon. I have to say, this highway 89 is a pretty spectacular route. Every day on this road has been such a pleasure. The valleys and fats that I have been rolling thorough are something else entirely.

I stopped in Montpellier Idaho and visited the Butch Cassidy museum. The museum is located in the Montpellier bank. Butch Cassidy robbed this bank, and is the last remaining bank that butch Cassidy robbed.

This morning I woke up and drove along the grand Tetons as the sun was rising on my way to Yellowstone national park.

I got to the park, and watched the 8:30 eruption of old faithful, and then went for a nice long walk along the board walk for a couple of hours and checked out the rest of the hot springs.

Now I have a full tank of gas. And air in my tires, and I am ready to go! I’m heading north towards spokane. It should arrive at aunt dos house sometime late friday.

Love ya!

Sunrise on the Tetons.
A panorama of the Tetons with the sunrise.
More sunrise on the Tetons.
The sign says it all.
Cascade falls in yellow stone.
Old faithful doing it’s thing.
The fireside river (I think that’s what it is called)
Such clear and hot water.
Pretty colors.
The pools run deep.
Mammoth hot springs. By the time I got here it was really crowded. So didn’t walk around.
Stay away from the elk!
This wood inlay map was created in 1937 and is huge!
This is a sprinter van.
I want to build one similar to this. 🙂
