Day 43 – drive into Portland

Good Morning! Tuesday, June 15th, 2021

I hope that today is finding you full of fondness for flowers.

Yesterday was a nice easy day. I woke up, made myself some bacon for breakfast, and started heading toward Dan Tedrow’s place in West Linn. (Which is a small community outside of Portland, Oregon). Along the way, I stopped at the white Falls, which were pretty impressive. I Stopped at the Oregon Trail center, but it is closed for Covid.

I had a wonderful time hanging out with Dan, Alex, and their kids last night. Their kids are so cute. Byron, their oldest, will turn six tomorrow. In their back yard, they have this massive cherry tree. Byron and I picked cherries by having me throw him up in the air towards the branches. He would grab onto some cherries, and I would catch him. We probably managed to pick 2 dozen cherries that way. And it was my cross first workout for the day πŸ˜‰

They put me up in their little guest house out back, and I slept super well last night.

Today, I aim for home, and I expect to be back at the house in the early afternoon. I thought about driving around the Olympic peninsula, but I decided to save that for a practice run with a rented sprinter van as we figure out what we might want in that setup.

Love ya!
